Raeanne Montoya

Raeanne was born and raised in the “Flat Irons” of Colorado. She was a wild, strong headed child raised with strong family values and a passion for the outdoors.   She attended school in Arvada, a small community nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains where she excelled in sports and spent every chance she could cooking along-side her grandmother.

Raeanne was destined to work in the culinary field and at a very early age she began learning the disciplines of Hispanic cuisine.   Rae received an athletic scholarship and decided to major in Integrated Natural Studies environmental science.   As she attended school full time she also continued to work full time in kitchens, honing her skills and feeding her passion for food.  Rae’s respect for the environment led her to an externship involving traveling overseas to Indonesia where she was introduced to a whole new world of spices and culture.  Rae finally settled in Oregon where she spends her time bass fishing, spoiling her palate with great food and enjoying world-class beer.
