We’re proud to be Portland’s largest family-owned and operated brewery. Our pubs are urban HUBs for our neighbors and community. We source local ingredients to enrich the local economy and reduce our carbon footprint. We have plenty of bike parking everywhere, because we believe the best way to get around the neighborhood is on two wheels.

Kids are a welcome addition to our restaurants. In fact, we’ve consistently been ranked one of the best restaurants to dine with your kids in Portland, and are known across the beer industry for our family friendly spaces. We have delicious food items for kids, along with plenty of toys and books in our play areas to keep even the most active young minds engaged while you enjoy a fresh, organic beer.

Thank you to our play area sponsors:

  • Thinker Toys proudly sponsors the kid’s play area at Hopworks Urban Brewery – SE Powell
  • SpielWerk Toys proudly sponsors the kid’s play area at Hopworks – N. Williams
  • Kazoodles proudly sponsors the kid’s play area at Hopworks – Vancouver.

Also, check out our Tot Program at our SE Portland location!

  • Tot Tuesday

At our Powell brewpub (2944 SE Powell Blvd. Portland, OR), on the second Tuesday of every month at 11:30 am, Hopworks hosts storytime and kid-friendly craft activities.

Good beer is more than just a beverage.

Good Beer Does Good.

In 2016 we became members of 1% For The Planet. That means we send 1% of our beer sale proceeds to environmental organizations in our region. We support local non-profits that focus on forests, bikes, and water. Learn more here.

Keep on Riding

Bicycles are a permanent fixture in the everyday lives of Portlanders. We may be biased but we’re huge fans of bicycles – they make excellent pedal-powered transportation and they are a ton of fun. We are a Certified Bike Friendly Business, we have decorated our pubs with bikes, and we have extensive bike parking at all our locations. One of our brewpubs, North Williams, can even receive energy from the pedal bikes in the front of the restaurant. It’s true, we love bikes! That’s why we support many of our favorite Portland bike events and businesses and non-profits:

We are grateful to support local and hard working organizations through our donation process of discounted beer to qualifying organizations. Interested?

Over the years, we have found great organizations we feel great about supporting in one way another. This is just a sampling of the groups we’ve worked with to make our community a better place:

THE STREET TRUST For the last 25 years, The Street Trust (formerly the Bicycle Transportation Alliance) has been hard at work creating healthy, sustainable communities by making biking safe and accessible for everyone. FRIENDS OF TREES 20+ year-old organization committed to increasing tree canopy, restoring green spaces, and building community. Volunteer with FOT to plant trees in your neighborhood, or work with them to get a tree in your yard! NORTHWEST EARTH INSTITUTE Since 1993, NWEI has been leading the curious and the motivated to take responsibility for Earth. Through discussion courses and the annual EcoChallenge, NWEI engages you and your community in meaningful conversations that lead to “Aha!” moments about the way you live, work, create and consume.

NORTHWEST TRAILS ALLIANCE Northwest Trail Alliance is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon whose mission is to create, enhance, and protect mountain bike riding opportunities; to advocate for trail access; to promote responsible mountain biking; and to build, maintain, and ride sustainable trails. OREGON ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL OEC’s mission is to advance innovative, collaborative solutions to Oregon’s environmental challenges for today and future generations. TRILLIUM FAMILY SERVICES Trillium is Oregon’s leader in providing mental and behavioral healthcare to children and families. We have supported Trillium’s efforts to give every child in their care a joyous Christmas.

Thank You

There are a host of other groups in Portland and elsewhere that we wouldn’t be the same without. A sincere thanks to:
